MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He's made major inroads globally to Latin pop. Una Lady Como Tu (his smash hit from 2016) won a Colombian Kids Choice Award, 2017 Favorite Song. In Medellin the year of Medellin, Sony's La Industria Inc. released ADN the debut album of his long-playing career. The album climbed to number 8 within the Top Latin Albums Chart. In the following year, he joined forces with Ozuna for the creation of Vaina Loca that climbed to number five on the Top Latin Albums chart. Mala Influencia came out as his collaboration with Noriel in 2020. In the following year, Dopamina became his second album. He also was in a duo with TINI for her hit streaming track Maldita Foto. In 2023, he appeared on 2000, featuring the smash hit La Bachata. Turizo is from an instrumental background. Both his mother and elder brother also play music. In his interviews, he's described playing music as an obligation. He began playing guitar, saxophone Ukulele, and piano while a young child. The first choice for his career was to become a vet however, his brother Julian encouraged him to learn how to sing under the help of a Cuban instructor. What happened was that he realized his talent for singing and transformed his career path.
